Greetings,
Here's one for the list, what is the most expensive dammage caused by a pet beagle? We've been lucky so far with K*****, aside from a pair of shoes, some underwear and a telephone wire, no real dammage. However, since we're only at 4 mo, I'm sure the list will grow rapidly. Maybe we can turn this into a contest, for most destructive beagle!D*****, A***** and K***** (What's theirs is also MINE!)

In the space of 2 days, M***** B***** destroyed: a cordless telephone, a TV remote, a pair of eyeglasses (new), a pair of contact lenses and a pair of expensive Danish leather clogs. Also a library book. I'm not counting underwear, socks, pens and other items I foolishly left within reach. I've learned now that even the coffee table and end tables aren't safe places if the dogs are un-attended for even a few minutes! M***** B***** swears it was S***** who destroyed the remote, so that may have to come off the list. Even without it, we're talking some Big Dollars! Oh well, I'm learning!!

S***** had not been claimed by me yet...we were still looking for a home for him. He came to me and I was not prepared AT ALL. I was leaving for Christmas and a friend agree to keep him for those few days. She thought it was good to put him in the bathroom....he tore up the carpet and the metal strip that separated the bathroom carpet from that in the hallway....it was bent up so we couldn't get the bathroom door open. Sammy knew we were out there and started arroooing and scratching at the door. We had to take the door off the hinges to get it...the bathroom was a disaster...much carpet damage, towels chewed....
In retrospect...the worst thing to do was confine him but not in a crate...he gets panicked....I guess living in the open back of a pick-up
truck for your first year doesn't prepare you for life in a bathroom.K***** and S***** and L*****

How long did it take him? :)
P*****'s been working on the sofa from time to time and it's still intact after a year, but getting it's getting kind of hard to hide the gnawed on bits. (Yes, we do stop her when we catch her.)

There was a time that if it was made out of webbing, this dog destroyed it; while you weren't watching; in complete silence; with no regrets if caught.

Dunno. If I'd been there to time him, I would have been there to stop him.
