My Last Meal

Lunch on our way out of town was at Nexxt, just as it was last year (scroll to the bottom), and for the same reason as last year: This was the one place that was packed when all the other places were empty or nearly so:

Crowds at Nexxt Packed, I tell you! Packed!

I tried the Mile-High Meatloaf and Judi had the Lemon Chicken. The Mile-High Meatloaf was pretty darned closed to the best meatloaf I've ever had in my entire life, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were covered in some amazing gravy. The combination of peas, carrots, and mushrooms was roasted (I think) and deliciously spiced. Everything was so wonderful I didn't even add any salt or pepper.

But the meatloaf was dog food compared to Judi's Lemon Chicken. Asparagus, artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, and other goodies in a sauce that has to be tasted to be believed -- all I can say is that if I were being executed and had my choice of a last meal, this would be it. (And thisJudi at Nexxt is the last sight I'd want to see.)
