St John
Lookouts

The Gold Gown
Most of St John is a U.S. National Park, so most of it is wild, with many, many beautiful beaches. It really is gorgeous. We saw it from benches in the back of a truck, driven by a guide whose English was so heavily accented that I had to "translate" for Judi (when I could understand <g>). But he made sure we were in position to get good pictures.

One odd thing about St John is that cars drive on the left side of the road. I guess it has something to do with a British past.... Are there any other U.S. territories where cars drive on the left?

There's not much more to say about St John -- it's a place you have to see, not read about. So I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Endless Islands
I call this picture Endless Islands.

Annaberg Point
This beach was near Annaberg Plantation, which is the ruin of an old sugar plantation. The plantation seemed like a very interesting place, but we didn't have long to look around.

Cruz Bay
Cruz Bay is the main harbor on St John, and most of the people seem to live around there. The big building with the red roof is the Government House.
